The Mustang’s November sales performance enabled it to remain the best-selling vehicle in its segment. By comparison, Chevy Camaro sales decreased 3 percent to 4,737 units while Dodge Challenger sales decreased 1 percent to 3,860 units. As such, not only did the Mustang remain the segment best-seller, but it also was the only car in its segment to post a sales uptick.

November sales of the mainstream two-door sports car segment consisting of the Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, Dodge Challenger, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Toyota 86 (née Scion FR-S), Nissan 370Z, Subaru BRZ, Fiat 124 Spider and Scion tC increased 1.68 percent to 17,104 units. In the first 11 months of the year, segment sales decreased are down 9 percent to 228,073 units with the Mustang leading in overall sales volume, the Camaro in second place and the Challenger in third.
