Sales types:
- Cumulative Ford Motor Company sales, which consist of Ford and Lincoln sales, increased 0.9 percent to 242,049 units:
- Retail sales decreased 4.0 percent to 176,164 vehicles, accounting for 72.8 percent of total Ford Motor Company December 2017 sales
- Fleet sales, including daily rental, commercial and government segments, increased 16.8 percent to 65,885 units due to order timing. Fleet sales accounted for 27.2 percent of total Ford Motor Company December 2017 sales:
- Daily rental deliveries accounted for 11.8 percent of total sales, an increase of 5.6 percentage points
- Commercial deliveries accounted for 10.1 percent of total sales, a decrease of 1.8 percentage points
- Government deliveries accounted for 5.2 percent of total sales, down 0.1 percentage points
- Car sales decreased 5.5 percent to 48,380 units
- SUV sales increased 8.0 percent to 82,881 units
- Truck sales decreased 1.0 percent to 110,788 units

Inventory:
- December month-end inventory on a gross stock level, which includes in-transit and dealer stock, was 630,435 units for a 58 days supply, representing:

- A decrease of 16,394 units from the 646,829 units at the end of December 2016
- A decrease of 5 days from the 73 days supply at the end of December 2017
- December month-end inventory on the ground, which consists exclusively of vehicles in dealer stock, was 519,029 units for a 56 days supply, representing:
- A decrease of 6,321 units from the 525,350 units at the end of November 2017
- A decrease of 6 days from the 62 days supply at the end of November 2017
- A decrease of 20,320 units from the 539,349 units at the end of December 2016
- A decrease of 5 days from the 61 days supply at the end of December 2016
Ford sales increased 1.9 percent to 231,430 units:
- Ford C-Max sales decreased 35.16 percent to 1,416 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 17.72 percent to 3,911 units
- Ford Edge sales increased 7.64 percent to 13,660 units, its best December in 10 years
- Ford Escape sales increased 1.8 percent to 26,253 units
- Ford Expedition sales increased 3.78 percent to 5,458 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 33.34 percent to 25,375 units, its best December since 2003
- Ford F-Series sales increased 2.14 percent to 89,385 units, its best December since 2005
- Ford Fiesta sales decreased 3.05 percent to 3,657 units
- Ford Flex sales decreased 40.65 percent to 1,834 units
- Ford Focus sales increased 9.71 percent to 11,237 units
- Ford Fusion sales decreased 8.82 percent to 17,444 units
- Ford GT sales totaled 9 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 44.95 percent to 1,139 units
- Ford Mustang sales increased 9.2 percent to 7,714 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Sedan sales increased 1.35 percent to 675 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Utility sales increased 12.88 percent to 3,191 units
- Ford Taurus sales decreased 20.84 percent to 2,719 units
- Ford Transit sales decreased 5.18 percent to 12,380 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 11.57 percent to 3,973 units
- Ford brand SUV sales increased 10.3 percent to 75,771 units, setting a December record
