Lincoln Continental Named One Of The Best Car Interiors Under $50k By Autotrader

The new Lincoln Continental, launched for the 2017 model year, revived Lincoln Motor Company’s most storied and celebrated nameplate to contend with contemporary luxury machines such as the Cadillac CT6, Acura RLX, and Volvo S90. The full-size car from Ford’s luxury division has quite a large legacy to live up to; the Continental name has nearly 80 years of history behind it, having first come along in 1939.

So far, the tenth-generation Lincoln Continental appears to be living up to expectations. Available in either front- or all-wheel-drive, with a range of engines that ends at a twin-turbocharged, 400-horsepower 3.0L V6, the full-size luxury car has attracted mostly positive reviews from the automotive press.

Its latest honor: the Lincoln Continental has been named to Autotrader‘s 2018 list of the Ten Best Car Interiors Under $50,000.

“The Lincoln Continental is a gorgeous full-size luxury sedan with a beautiful interior,” write Autotrader‘s editors. “While other automakers have adopted interior design that’s intentionally daring, Lincoln has instead stayed in the realm of traditional luxury with comfortable seats, a roomy cabin and easy-to-use controls with obvious placements.

“The Continental touts excellent materials, too, and test cars we’ve driven didn’t exhibit any unpleasant squeaks or rattles where we wouldn’t expect – another sign of high quality.”

The 2018 Lincoln Continental starts at $45,160, putting it just within the price constraints for Autotrader’s list. To give you a sense of just what the accolade means, other vehicles named to the Autotrader list include the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Volvo XC60.
