Now Available: The 710-HP Roush ‘JackHammer’ Mustang

This week, Roush Performance officially introduced the new, special-edition 2018 Roush “JackHammer” Mustang: a performance-enhanced version of the updated, 2018 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. The new model is limited to 200 units, each of which will roll out of Roush Performance’s Livonia, Michigan factory already-prepped for a Roush R2650 supercharger.

The supercharger, which can be purchased and installed at the delivering dealership, takes peak engine output up to a breathtaking 710 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. Not that we’d expect any less from a special-edition Mustang named after Roush Performance founder and racing mogul Jack Roush.

Of course, the new Roush JackHammer Mustang isn’t defined entirely by its supercharger-prep package. The new model also gets a pair of extreme-duty half shafts, a one-way-adjustable performance coilover suspension, “JH” strut tower brace, high-flow upper and lower grilles, and 20-inch ebony wheels with Continental ExtremeContact™ Sport tires. There are plenty of aesthetic/aerodynamic pieces, too, including a front chin spoiler with wheel shrouds, front aero corner pockets, hood heat extractors, body side scoops, rear valance aero foils, and a decklid spoiler.

The JackHammer further delivers a unique look with the aid of Roush fender badges, a Roush windshield banner, rear blackout panel with Roush badging, and a special “JackHammer” graphics package that includes two-piece “hockey stick” graphics for the body sides.

“The JackHammer is a great option for enthusiasts who want a thrilling driving experience in a Mustang that looks menacing and produces incredible power,” says Jack Roush, Jr. – a professional racing driver and Advanced Business Strategist at Roush Performance. “What makes this model unique is that before the vehicle leaves our headquarters, we install all the necessary components and machine the front engine cover to make it easy to add our R2650 supercharger package.

“We engineer American-made vehicles with the raw power, looks and legacy that passionate drivers crave, and with this car named after my father, we made sure not to hold back.”

The 2018 Roush JackHammer Mustang is available now, with a price tag starting at $14,765 over the cost of the donor Mustang. Each example will come with a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and coverage includes the dealer-installed Roush R2650 supercharger system.
