2019 Lincoln Nautilus Recalled Over Driver Airbag Issue

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain units of the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus crossover SUVs over an issue with the driver’s airbag.

The defect: the plastic cover on the driver frontal air bag module may detach during air bag deployment.

The hazards: if the airbag cover separates during deployment, it can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Components: service: air bags.

Affected vehicles: 2019 Lincoln Nautilus not equipped with Adaptive Front Steering. The Nautilus replaces the Lincoln MKX starting with the 2019 model year.

Number of vehicles affected: 268 (United States number).

The fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver air bag module, free of charge.

Owners should: owners who wish to know if their vehicle is included in this Lincoln Nautilus recall can visit http://owner.lincoln.com and click on Safety Recalls at the bottom of the page. There, customers can enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to see any open safety, compliance or emissions recalls, as well as customer satisfaction programs.
