Check Out The Ford Performance Lineup Of These 5 SEMA SUVs

Ford Performance and its customization partners came together to create a unique lineup of 5 SEMA SUVs. The Ford Edge, two Ford Expeditions, a Ford Explorer, and a Ford EcoSport got the special treatment. Check them out below:

Blood Type Racing’s Edge ST

The lone Edge among the 5 SEMA SUVs is from Chicago-based Blood Type Racing. It upgraded the Ford Edge ST’s stealthy design and twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost performance with a slammed suspension, custom flared bodywork, its own performance induction, Mishimoto charged intercooler, and an MRT dual stainless performance exhaust for extra horsepower.

Blood Type Racing finished it off with low-profile Toyo Tires STIII Proxes tires on 22-inch wheels, custom aerodynamics and a gloss blue wrap. Interior features include a SoCal carbon fiber steering wheel, Kicker Bullfrog portable audio, Ford Accessories all-weather floor mats and cargo area protector, tablet cradle and cooler bag. The base vehicle was a 2019 Ford Edge ST with a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6.

LGE*CTS Expedition Classic

With vintage design cues, rich materials and high-tech rugged hardware, designer/builder Theresa Contreras created a modern classic among the 5 SEMA SUVs with her LGE*CTS Expedition Classic. From the purpose-driven matte paint and steel wheels to the ReadyLIFT self-leveling suspension and Borla performance cat-back exhaust, the LGE*CTS Expedition Classic is built for adventure and style, though we’re not sure what sort of terrain that minimal tire/fender gap plans on crossing over. Finishing touches include custom-painted Yakima OffGrid roof rack and coordinating Ford Accessories. A 2018 Ford Expedition XLT 4×4 with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine was the base vehicle.

Hulst Customs Destination Expedition

The Hulst Customs 2018 Destination Expedition is a custom luxe cruiser with a custom hood and grille, plus custom Borla cat-back exhaust with custom-fabricated tips in a nod to its performance DNA. Color-matched 26-inch Lexani wheels and tires fill out the fender wells, while custom gray paint with lower graphics give the Destination Expedition a distinctive appearance. A custom drop visor with LED running lights and Yakima snowboard rack put the finishing touches on this family hauler. A 2018 Ford Expedition Max 4×4 Limited with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine was the base vehicle.

MAD Industries Explorer

California-based MAD Industries created a design that blends style and performance with this custom Explorer: the only one among the 5 SEMA SUVs. The two-tone Explorer’s performance is upgraded with a cold-air intake, more aggressive handling tuning and more braking power. The interior features premium leather seats, custom MAD Industries steering wheel and unique touches including billet aluminum pedals, color-matched accents and LED lighting. A 2018 Ford Explorer Sport with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine was the base vehicle.

Tucci Designs Big Adventures EcoSport

The Tucci Designs Big Adventures EcoSport incorporates custom fender flares and beefy Maxxis Bravo AT tires, along with off-road accessories including an integrated winch, custom tubular bumpers, Rigid Industries lighting and Yakima bike rack. The base vehicle was a 2018 Ford EcoSport SES 4WD with the 2.0-liter Ti-VCT gas direct injection I-4 engine.
