Ford Brand U.S. Sales Decrease 7.3 Percent To 187,096 Units In November 2018

FoMoCo’s Ford brand reported 187,096 new vehicle deliveries in November 2018 in the United States, a decrease of 7.3 percent compared to November 2017.

Ford sales on an individual model basis were as follows:

  • Ford C-Max sales decreased 94.8 percent to 76 units; the vehicle has been discontinued in the U.S. market
  • Ford E-Series sales decreased 3.49 percent to 4,337 units
  • Ford EcoSport sales totaled 5,893 units
  • Ford Edge sales decreased 25.74 percent to 9,787 units
  • Ford Escape sales decreased 14.28 percent to 21,516 units
  • Ford Expedition sales increased 7.95 percent to 4,264 units
    • Retail sales grew 17.7 percent
    • High series Platinum and Limited Expedition models continue to drive sales, representing 60 percent of retail sales
    • Average transaction Prices is up $7,700 over last year, at $61,500
  • Ford Explorer sales decreased 17.77 percent to 17,696 units
  • Ford F-Series sales decreased 0.92 percent to 72,102 units
    • The Ford F-Series has now recorded a record nine straight months topping 70,000 trucks sold, on sales of 72,102 units
    • F-Series continues to transact close to record level transaction prices of $47,000 per pickup – $1,800 higher than the segment average
  • Ford Fiesta sales increased 72.59 percent to 5,238 units; the model is being discontinued in the U.S. market
  • Ford Flex sales decreased 14.35 percent to 1,540 units
  • Ford Focus sales decreased 66.12 percent to 4,481 units; the model is being discontinued in the U.S. market
  • Ford Fusion sales increased 11.75 percent to 16,652 units; the model is being discontinued in the U.S. market
  • Ford GT sales decreased 6.25 percent to 15 units
  • Ford Heavy Trucks sales increased 85.16 percent to 1,048 units
  • Ford Mustang sales decreased 26.98 percent to 4,907 units
  • Ford Police Interceptor Sedan sales decreased 23.38 percent to 472 units
  • Ford Police Interceptor Utility sales increased 7.22 percent to 2,777 units
  • Ford Taurus sales increased 4.71 percent to 2,247 units; the model is being discontinued in the U.S. market
  • Ford Transit sales decreased 14.98 percent to 9,226 units
  • Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 3.36 percent to 2,822 units
    • Ford’s all-new Transit Connect retail sales were up 17.2 percent during the month as retail customer demand grows

In the first 11 months of 2018, Ford sales decreased 2.66 percent to 2,184,483 units.
