We’ve talked a couple of times about the Mustang Dream Giveaway that has been running since last year. The raffle is giving away a pair of Bullitt Mustangs with one being a 1968 Bullitt Restomod and the other a brand-new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. The raffle is also giving the lucky winner $25,000 to pay taxes on the rides. A single entry to the raffle will set you back $3.00. The end is near for the raffle; at the time of writing it had a bit over six days and 19 hours to go before ending.
The 1968 Bullitt Restomod was upgraded bumper-to-bumper when it was built and has a 390ci Ford V8 under the hood with dual four-barrel carbs attached. The car uses a modern 5-speed manual transmission and a dual exhaust system. The ’68 Bullitt Mustang has independent front suspension, adjustable coil overs, four-piston disc brakes all around, and a classic Ford 9-inch rear end. Builders fitted the classic with air conditioning and electronic instruments; in all the build cost $150,000.
The 2019 Mustang Bullitt Limited-Edition muscle car is the all-new tribute to the iconic movie that Ford announced last summer. The modern Bullitt Mustang has a 5.0L V8 engine under the hood making 480 hp backed by a 6-speed manual transmission. Inside the car has Recaro sport seats, the Bullitt Technology Package, and Magneride Dampers for $3,800 worth of factory upgrades. A few mods have been added to the car including a short-throw shifter, lowering springs, and Bullitt-proof half shafts.
The fine print for this Bullitt Mustang raffle does warn that the $25,000 might not be enough to cover the taxes on the cars. Naturally, if you win that much money, the IRS will want its cut. A $3 investment would be a heck of a way to fill your garage with a pair of awesome Mustangs.
