New Ford Mustang Discount Takes $1,500 Off In April 2019

Ford Mustang sales decreased about 12 percent to 16,917 units in the first quarter of 2019. Despite the decline, the Mustang still placed first in its class by sales volume, while Dodge Challenger sales fell off 24 percent to 13,431 units, placing it in second place in its segment and the Chevy Camaro posted a 2.5 percent growth, though it remained in third place.

And now, in what could be an effort to persuade buyers to continue to choose Ford’s pony over its direct rivals, a new Ford Mustang discount takes $1,500 off in April 2019. Meanwhile, another Mustang discount takes $1,000 off and offers 0 percent financing for certain models.

Incentives

Ford’s nationwide Mustang discounts in April 2019 are as follows:

  • 2019 Mustang bonus cash: $1,000 special package bonus cash. This discount is good through April 30, 2019. Only available on models equipped with 101A package. Excludes GT350 and Bullitt models.
  • 2019 Mustang customer cash: $1,500 retail customer cash. This discount is good through July 1, 2019. Excludes GT350 and Bullitt models.

For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Mustang trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including destination charge:

Mustang Coupe:

  • EcoBoost Fastback – $27,490
  • EcoBoost Premium Fastback -$32,505
  • GT Fastback – $36,450
  • GT Premium Fastback – $40,450

Mustang Convertible:

  • EcoBoost Convertible – $32,990
  • EcoBoost Premium Convertible – $38,005
  • GT Premium Convertible – $45,950

The $1,000 Ford discount brings the starting price of a 2019 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium Fastback to just $31,505, and customers who take advantage of the 0 percent APR offer would save over $3,000 in interest charges. If a buyer were to opt for the $1,500 offer instead, it would lower the starting price of the same model to $31,005, but not save on interest.
