Ford made some beautiful cars in decades gone by, and one of the best looking is the Ford Deluxe models like this 1939 Ford Deluxe Convertible. The car also has the iconic rumble seat and a three-speed transmission. CanonStateclassics is offering the 1939 Ford Deluxe Convertible for sale and says that it comes from a buyer who has owned the car since 1992.
The owner is selling the car because he can no longer enjoy driving it. The car is coated in raven black paint, and while the paint is over 30 years old and has some cracks and crows feet, the seller did just complete a 20-hour color correction and detail on the car.
The engine under the hood is a freshly rebuilt Ford 239 flathead V8. The owner says there are about 500 miles on the car since the new engine was put in. The top is in excellent condition thanks to having been replaced only a few years ago. A matching top boot is included. Everything inside the car looks good for 30-year old restoration.
All the gauges and knobs on the dash of the Art Deco masterpiece are working well and in place. There appears to be zero rust on the car, and it looks to be in excellent condition. There are plenty of receipts and paperwork included with the sale of the car. The seller is asking $59,900 for the 1939 Ford Deluxe Convertible. How many movies at the drive-in were watched in that rumble seat do you reckon? Check out this earlier 1936 Ford V8 Deluxe Phaeton that took six years to restore.
