Ford Discount Cuts Edge ST Price By Over $9,000 In July 2019

Ford Edge sales decreased 6 percent to 33,314 units during the second quarter of 2019, a rather disappointing turn of events given the ongoing shift in consumer buying dynamics that prefer crossovers over sedans. As The Blue Oval looks to reverse this downward trend and bring more attention to the refreshed Edge, a new Ford discount reduces the price of the 2019 Edge ST sporty crossover by 20 percent in July 2019, which is over $9,000 in some cases.

Incentives

The nationwide Ford discounts on the 2019 Edge for July 2019 are as follows:

  • Featured retail offer: 20 percent discount below MSRP on all models
  • 2019 Edge SE & ST: $1,050 Summer Sales retail bonus customer cash + $1,500 retail customer cash + $2,500 retail bonus customer cash = $5,050 total discount
    • The Summer Sales bonus cash and retail bonus customer cash offers are only available until September 3rd. The rest of the offer is valid thru September 30th.
  • 2019 Edge SEL & Titanium:$1,050 Summer Sales retail bonus customer cash + $1,500 retail customer cash + $2,500 retail bonus customer cash + $500 bonus cash = $5,550 total discount
    • The Summer Sales bonus cash and retail bonus customer cash offers are only available until September 3rd. The rest of the offer is valid thru September 30th.

For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Edge trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including the destination charge of $1,095:

  • SE – $31,000
  • SEL – $34,395
  • Titanium – $39,850
  • ST – $43,450

As such, the 20 percent Ford discount can cut the price of a well-equipped Edge ST model by more than $9,000. In a recent report, CarsDirect.com located an Edge ST in Fort Worth, Texas with an MSRP of $45,045 that was slashed via the following incentives:

  • $5,050 factory cash + $4,022 dealer discount = $9,072 total discount

Interested parties should note that the dealer discount may vary by dealer.

Meanwhile, the $5,050 discount reduces the starting price of the SE and ST to $25,950 and $37,950, respectively. The $5,550 discount lowers the starting price of the SEL and Titanium to $28,845 and $34,300, respectively.
