The Ford Authority Take
The decline in Ford Edge sales is not welcome news, especially considering current market trends that strongly favor crossovers and SUVs over traditional sedans.
We attribute the ongoing decline in Ford Edge sales volume due to competitive pressures caused by newer and more attractive offerings from Chevrolet, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, and Jeep. The circumstance is certainly disappointing given the opportunity that exists in this space. Here’s to hoping that the refreshed 2019 Ford Edge will be enough for Ford to claw back lost ground, and then some.
