New Lincoln Discount Cuts Nautilus Price By $1,000 In July 2019

Lincoln Nautilus sales totaled 8,187 units in the second quarter of 2019, which is an increase of about 1,000 units or 13 percent compared to Lincoln MKX sales in Q1 2018. The sales performance is impressive, especially considering the fact that the Nautilus nameplate is relatively new to the market, having replaced the MKX earlier this year. And now, a new Lincoln discount offer for July 2019 includes a cashback rebate as well as a special financing offer for select models.

Incentives

The new, nationwide Lincoln discount offers for the Nautilus in July 2019 are as follows:

  • Retail offer: $500 bonus cash + $500 owner loyalty = $1,000 total discount + 0 percent APR financing for 60 months when financing with Lincoln AFS Financing.
    • Must own or lease a 1995 or newer Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln vehicle in order to qualify for loyalty discount.

For reference, here are the applicable 2019 Lincoln Nautilus trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including the $995 destination charge:

  • Standard – $41,335
  • Select – $45,540
  • Reserve – $49,870
  • Black Label – $57,890

The $1,000 Lincoln discount reduces the starting price of a 2019 Nautilus Standard to $40,235, that of the Select model to $44,540, and that of the Nautilus Reserve to $48,870. The range-topping Black Label model sees its starting price decrease to $56,890.

As such, the Lincoln discount for the Nautilus in July 2019 is more lucrative than the discount offered in June 2019, which did not combine interest-free financing with the cashback rebate. Additionally, the interest-free financing is even more attractive in July compared to the 0.9 percent rate offered last month.

We believe the increased Lincoln discount offers are likely the result of the Lincoln Motor Company attempting to maintain price parity with its direct competition, including the Cadillac XT5, Lexus RX, and Acura MDX. The segment is incredibly competitive, which means that Lincoln’s midsize luxury crossover SUV has its work cut out for it.
