2017 Tickford Bathurst 77 Special Mustang Number 1 For Sale

The 2017 Tickford Bathurst 77 Special Mustang you see in the images here is a special edition meant to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ford’s first and second place wins at Bathurst in 1977. The 2017 Tickford Bathurst 77 Special Mustang isn’t a stock Mustang by any means. The car here is the very first of the production run and was part of a private collection until it was returned to Tickford.

The car is for sale right now for AUD 170,000, which is about $115,500. That is certainly a high price for a Mustang, but the 2017 Tickford Bathurst 77 Special Mustang is something special produced in a run of only 77 cars. The rides sold initially for about AUD 64,500 on top of the sales price of the Mustang itself.

The Bathurst 77 Mustang has a Roush supercharger bolted to the 5.0-liter V8 engine upping the output to 542kW and 827Nm or 726 horsepower and 609 pound-feet of torque. The engine also features a low-restriction air filter, aluminum intercooler, high-flow fuel injectors, and a dual-bore throttle body.

The exhaust system is a 3-inch unit, and the ECU of the car was custom calibrated to handle the mods. A revised fuel pump module was also fitted. Tickford also fitted the cars with coilovers that ride 25mm lower than stock, premium dampers, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. Upgraded brakes slow the Mustang down with 15-inch slotted discs up front with 6-piston calipers and 14-inch rotors out back with 4-piston calipers.

The interior of the car is custom with leather and Alcantara with red and blue stitching. The car also has a special steering wheel and shift knob along with Tickford badging. Check out the Old Crow Mustang that sold for $400,000 grand for charity.
