Blacked-Out 1968 Ford Bronco Is Darth Vader’s Classic

We think if Darth Vader had come to Earth in the late ’60s to pick up a rugged Ford to cruise Tatooine and search for Luke, this 1968 Ford Bronco is the ride he would have chosen. The 1968 Ford Bronco is all black with a little red, perfect for Vader or anyone else who likes the blacked-out look.

The 1968 Ford Bronco, known as “Vail” has chrome bumpers front and rear, white stripes, and other white touches. It rolls on 33-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires on black wheels. Inside the 1968 Ford Bronco has very cool seats that have a mix of normal leather and braided leather.

Under the hood sits a modern Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine out of a Mustang that should provide plenty of power to get the Bronco going on the road or off. The modern Coyote V8 is matched up with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The brakes are Wilwood units all around with Hydroboost. The instruments inside the Bronco look stock, and it has an aftermarket stereo system with Bluetooth.

The Vail 1968 Ford Bronco has a family roll cage that protects all occupants, and while not seen in the images, it offers a soft top as well. The Vail was built and has sold for $225,000, showing that nothing cool comes cheap. Vintage broncos are huge right now and are bringing big money.

We talked about a 1968 Ford Bronco that was for sale in late July that was a restomod looking like new but offering a less stock look on the outside than this ride. Anticipation for the new Ford Bronco is in high gear, and several trademarks have surfaced that hint at models that Bronco fans might see.
