Lincoln has announced that it walked away from the annual AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards as the top-ranking luxury brand. The Lincoln Navigator led the way outscoring every other vehicle in the awards. The AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are based on survey responses from 50,000 owners of 2018 and 2019 cars and light trucks.
Lincoln had several winners in the awards aside for the Navigator that took the top spot in vehicle satisfaction out of all other vehicles. Lincoln also racked up the best-in-class luxury car vehicle satisfaction win with the Continental, which also took the top car in vehicle satisfaction in the AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards.
The full list of Lincoln wins includes:
- Continental: Best-in-Class Luxury Car in Vehicle Satisfaction
- Continental: Top Car in Vehicle Satisfaction
- Nautilus: Best-in-Class Luxury Crossover SUV
- Navigator: Best-in-Class Luxury Sport Utility Vehicle
- Navigator: Top Truck in Vehicle Satisfaction
- Navigator: Top Vehicle in Vehicle Satisfaction (outscoring every other vehicle in the research)
Lincoln plans to continue its success, earning more awards and accolades with the Lincoln Aviator set to launch soon along with the Corsair coming this fall. Both Ford and Lincoln also won big in the J.D. Power Initial Vehicle Quality awards with Ford sitting in fourth place and Lincoln in fifth. This year marked the first time that both brands have been in the top five.
Much of the gains that Ford and Lincoln have made in initial satisfaction comes thanks to improved infotainment systems. Ford has vowed to continue to improve and has the top spot in its sights. Lincoln announced this week that the Aviator hybrid has more power and torque than initially announced with the hybrid making almost 500 horsepower combined.
