Fans of the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 can now hop over to the Ford website and visit the configurator for the 2020 GT500 and build their dream ride. The car isn’t cheap, we have already talked about how costly some of its options are. One example is the painted stripes that add $10,000 to the price of the car alone.
The base price for the 2020 GT500 is $72,900. Tape stripes can be had in ebony, white, or Kona blue; buyers can also get the car with no stirpes. Tape stripes add $375 to the price of the car and are the two little stripes running along the bottom of the doors. Pricing on the Carbon Fiber Track Pack is $18,500, and the Handling pack is $1,500. Those two options can’t be combined.
Adding the Technology Package will add on $3,000. The vehicle cover is $395 with several colors offered, and remote start is included. If you tick all the boxes, the price runs up to $106,585 or $1,852 monthly for 60 months via Ford Credit. There is simply no way any of these cars will go for that MSRP, especially with the Carbon Fiber Track Package. Dealer market adjustments will be substantial and are likely to add another $10,000 or more to the price.
On the flip side of the coin, anyone wanting a bare-bones 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, once you add the destination charge, you are looking at $73,995. Again you can bet there will be market adjustments added to the price of the car at most dealers. The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is an impressive car, but it sure is expensive.
