A company called Exotics Racing in LA has an interesting tour that they will take people on to show them around some of the landmarks in LA and nearby areas. The tour is called the LA Classic Car Tour because they will let you drive around in a classic Mustang convertible.
The classic Mustang is a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, one of the best looking of the classic Mustangs. We aren’t sure if the tour has more than one classic Mustang, but it says that you can swap cars at stops if you like. The other cars that are shown for the LA tour are called the Vanderhall Carmel.
The Carmel is a three-wheel car that is very minimal, looking like something that is equal parts modern and classic. The Vanderhall Carmel is American-made according to the tour and is a hand-built auto-cycle. Participants get to drive each of the cars during the trip.
The tour takes people by the Santa Monica pier, down the Pacific Coast Highway, past Fox Studios, down Rodeo Drive, and into Beverly Hills. A half-day tour lasting three hours with one driver costs $299, and a tour for a driver and a passenger is $398. Drivers are required to show proof of insurance and provide a $1,000 safety deposit. Passengers wanting to drive have to buy insurance for $99.
The driving fee includes water and light snacks, and it is accessible to all, the cars are automatics or use paddle shifters. Drivers have to be 21 or older and have a valid driver’s license from any state/country. This tour sounds like an interesting way to get to check out some of the sights in Californa while enjoying some cool cars. The tour company has HD cameras aboard the cars and will sell you footage if desired. Check out this green 1966 Mustang that is an all-original survivor.
