Smithfield Bacon fans who like NASCAR racing will want to enter to win their share of a million slices of bacon. The Smithfield brand will give a million slices of bacon away if Aric Almirola wins the NASCAR race at Talladega Superspeedway to be held next month. The race happens on October 13th, 2019.
A million slices of bacon are offered if Almirola takes first place, and will be split between ten grand prize winners. That means each of the ten winners will receive 100,000 slices of bacon, which is 6,250 packages of bacon per winner. Almirola drives the No. 10 NASCAR Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing.
Almirola and his NASCAR Mustang won the Talledega race last year with an exciting final-lap pass in overtime. The race is about a month away now, and fans who want to sign up for a chance to win a bunch of bacon in the Smithfield “Racin’ for Bacon 1 Million Slice Giveaway” contest can register for the chance to win here.
Smithfield notes that there is no purchase necessary to win and a purchase doesn’t improve the odds of a win. The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and D.C. who are 18 or older. The official name for the race this year is the 2019 1000bulbs.com 500 stock car race. The drawing will be made within five business days of the actual conclusion of the race, no later than Friday, October 25th.
Winners will receive their prizes in about 6-8 weeks after the contest is over. That should mean bacon in time for Christmas. Ther are two ways for winners of this contest to get their prizes. They can choose to receive a single refrigerated shipment of 6,250 one-pound packages of Smithfield bacon. How exactly you store that is on you. The other option is the one we suspect all ten winners will take, and it is a cash value equivalent for the bacon of $43,688. Corey LaJoie’s NASCAR Mustang will wear a cool Scooby-Doo livery for the Martinsville race in October.
