One-Owner 1986 Ford Mustang GT Convertible For Sale

Sponsored

A car for sale in California is a one-owner 1986 Ford Mustang GT convertible that was purchased in December of 1985. The seller of the car says that she bought the car brand new as a gift to her husband. She says that no kids or animals have ever ridden in the car.

The images show a very clean four-eye Fox-body GT convertible. The only downside to the car is that it’s automatic. The 1986 Ford Mustang GT convertible has a newer top installed that is in excellent condition, according to the seller. All the weather seals on the doors and windows have been replaced, and it sits in a garage out of the weather. The car is driven a couple of times per month, according to the owner.

We don’t have much in the way of details on the car; it has the same 5.0-liter V8 engine that all ’86 GTs offered. From the factory that 5.0-liter V8 was rated for 200 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The car is listed in excellent condition, and the photos show no dents.

We suspect on closer inspection it will show the dings and scratches that go with every day driving. The car does have AC, power windows, power locks, power steering and brakes, and a clear title. 1986 was the last year fo the four-eye Fox Mustang, and we always liked the seats in 1986 GTs the best with their open headrests and heavier sculpting than some later models. The seller is asking $12,000, and the car is listed on classiccars.com. Check out this 1986 ASC McLaren Mercury Capri RS.

That’s a very nice example and it’s very hard these days to find one in that shape. The Fox body cars are starting to move up in value and it’s priced reasonably.
