We sincerely hate it when Ford builds cool cars, and then dealers try and price gouge with market adjustments over sticker price. Market adjustments are very common on specialty Mustangs like the GT350 and GT350R. That is why we like it when we find GT350s selling for under MSRP, like the GT350 we talked about earlier in the month that was $5,400 off. Granted, that was a 2019 model, and the 2020s are on the lot.
Today we’ve uncovered a 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R, which is a completely different animal than the GT350. The GT350R is much rarer, and some have paid massive market adjustments over sticker to get their hands on the rare car. This 2020 Shelby GT350R is in iconic silver with black stripes and ebony Recaro seats with red accents.
Like all 2020 Shelby GT350R cars, this one has a 6-speed manual transmission and a 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V8 engine. This particular car is fitted with the technology package and the exposed carbon fiber package. It includes the vehicle cover, as well.
The technology package adds BLIS with cross-traffic alert, a touchscreen navigation system, and a B&O sound system. The R package is a costly bit of kit adding $12,995 to the price of the car. It includes the 19-inch painted carbon fiber wheels, wider 305/30 front tires and 315/30 rear tires, carbon fiber rear wing, wheel locks, and adjustable strut mounts. The MSRP on the car is $77,920, and the seller is asking $83,500 on its website. The car is on eBay for $79,999, which is a market adjustment of about $2,000. We’ve certainly seen bigger market adjustments.
