2020 Ford Escape Gets New Desert Gold Color: First Look

The 2020 Ford Escape introduces an all-new model that marks the fourth generation of the nameplate. In addition to a completely overhauled vehicle, the all-new Escape also adds six new exterior colors to its color palette: Sedona Orange, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Dark Persian Green, Velocity Blue, Star White Metallic Tri-coat, and Desert Gold. Here’s our first look at the new Desert Gold hue.

Assigned order code G6, Desert Gold is a metallic color, as are nine of the ten exterior color options available for the 2020 Ford Escape. The new hue is not included in the base price of the 2020 Escape. Instead, it adds $595 to the starting price and is available in conjunction with all interior color combinations and all trim levels except for S models.

2020 Ford Escape Trim Levels:

  • S
  • SE
  • SE Sport
  • SEL
  • Titanium

2020 Ford Escape Interior Color Combinations:

  • Dark Earth Gray
  • Sandstone
  • Ebony

Frankie's first favorite car was a 1968 Ford Mustang, and he's had a strong appreciation for the nameplate ever since. Later in his youth he became infatuated with Eleanor, thanks to Nicholas Cage's stellar performance. Frank's a real jokester, too.
