2020 Ford Escape Gets New Desert Gold Color: First Look

The 2020 Ford Escape introduces an all-new model that marks the fourth generation of the nameplate. In addition to a completely overhauled vehicle, the all-new Escape also adds six new exterior colors to its color palette: Sedona Orange, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Dark Persian Green, Velocity Blue, Star White Metallic Tri-coat, and Desert Gold. Here’s our first look at the new Desert Gold hue.

Availability

Assigned order code G6, Desert Gold is a metallic color, as are nine of the ten exterior color options available for the 2020 Ford Escape. The new hue is not included in the base price of the 2020 Escape. Instead, it adds $595 to the starting price and is available in conjunction with all interior color combinations and all trim levels except for S models.

  • Dark Earth Gray
  • Sandstone
  • Ebony

Launch Timeframe

As of this writing, the 2020 Escape is already available at the retail level, since the Ford Louisville factory in Kentucky has been churning out the all-new model for the past couple of months. Models in the Desert Gold exterior color are already on dealer lots. Availability varies by dealer, so be sure to check with yours for complete details.
