It seems like one sort of tradeshow, or another is always going on in Las Vegas. Late last year, it was the SEMA show, and right now, it’s the SHOT Show 2020 that has to do with firearms and related gear. One of the more interesting products for Ford F-150 fans is a special edition Roush F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition that is a tie-up with tactical clothing purveyor 5.11. Roush will make only 150 units.
This truck is more than just a sticker package, the Roush F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition comes with a Roush supercharger attached to the 5.0-liter V8 engine making 650 horsepower and about 609 foot-pounds of torque. Other than the supercharged engine, the special edition truck includes a kit with a hard case with a multi-purpose tactical pen, steel clip for bills, military-style bag and, and a United States flag patch.
The truck rolls on 20-inch black wheels with 33-and General Grabber A/T 305/55 off-road tires. The front grill is a special Roush unit with a trio of integrated lights, and the truck gets new fenders. It will come in two colors, including Agate Black or Abyss Gray, both fitted with unique vinyl graphics.
To improve the sound that comes from the truck, Roush fits it with its Active Exhaust that has four different modes to choose from. The suspension is tweaked with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks and a lift for an aggressive off-road look. Inside, the truck has special Roush leather seats that are embroidered with an American flag. The conversion package for the truck starts at $31,000, not counting the cost of the base F-150 Lariat pickup. In December, the configurator for the 2020 Roush F-150 opened, allowing fans to customize their own truck.
