1983 Ford F-150 XLT Long Bed Has 29,000 Original Miles

It’s hard to find classic pickups that are in good condition because many of them were worked hard back in the day and fell apart or rusted out. This 1983 Ford F-150 XLT pickup is a style side long bed that the seller says is completely rust free. It’s certainly not a perfect truck, the paint appears faded and the truck has an overall patina to it. It looks nice and has a copper and tan two-tone paint scheme that is original.

The interior of the truck is completely original and looks as if no one ever rode in it. That’s probably because the truck is said to have only 29,000 original miles on the odometer. The interior is beige cloth with some sort of plaid-like print in the center sections of the bench seat. The beige carpet appears clean with no major stains and the dash and door panels are in excellent condition.

Power is from a 300 cubic-inch straight six-cylinder engine that the seller claims has more torque than the 302 cubic inch V-8 offered that year. The engine is paired up with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The air conditioning works and blows cold, and the truck also has power steering, power brakes, tilt steering column, a cassette player, a step and tow rear bumper, front bumper guards, California mirrors, running lights, and new tires.

The seller says that the 1983 Ford F-150 XLT has been fully serviced and inspected in Pennsylvania, where it is for sale for $11,500. The seller says the truck runs and drives beautifully and it looks like an excellent platform for restoration, but a truck this clean and original deserves to be left unmolested.
