Big Red Is A Pristine 1977 Ford F-150 4×4 Short Bed

Vintage trucks are increasing in value almost as fast as some vintage muscle cars. The truck in the images here is a 1977 Ford F-150 4×4 short bed pickup known as Big Red, and it’s for sale. The truck looks perfect from the photos and is probably cleaner than it was when it rolled off the assembly line. The truck is located in Arizona, so there is no rust.

The seller says that the truck has air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, automatic transmission, and is reliable and very easy to drive. The truck was restored in 2013, and paint quality and body fit and finish are excellent. Along with the cosmetic restoration, the truck was also mechanically restored.

Under the hood sits a running 400 cubic-inch Ford V8 engine wearing an Edelbrock intake, Holley 4bbl carburetor, headers, and dual exhaust. The automatic transmission and drivelines were refurbished as well. The air conditioning system connected to the truck isn’t factory, it’s a vintage AC system that blows cold and has a clean, integrated finish.

The complete interior is brand-new with a comfortable and firm seat with perfect upholstery done up in black, the glass is excellent, and all the weather seals are fresh. The wheels and tires on the truck are brand-new, and it’s ready for long road trips according to the seller. The odometer shows 12,604 miles, and since the truck has been restored, we rather doubt those original miles. The seller is asking $37,500, which seems high to us, but it’s a very nice truck. Big Red is our second favorite 1977 Ford F-150 right next to Ken Block’s own Hoonitruck.
