Chase Briscoe NASCAR Mustang Gets Ford Performance Racing School Sponsorship

Last month Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) announced that Chase Briscoe would be driving the No. 98 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR XFINITY Series for 2020. The race team has now announced that Briscoe and his NASCAR Mustang have a new primary sponsor for the 2020 XFINITY Series. The new sponsor is Ford Performance Racing School, and it will debut as a sponsor for the car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on the race weekend kicking off February 21st.

Ford Performance Racing School will be the primary sponsor for the car for the next 15 races after Las Vegas as Briscoe and the team compete for the XFINITY Series championship. Briscoe had a good season in 2019 winning rookie-of-the-year. So far, the 25-year-old driver has won two XFINITY Series races and was the 2016 ARCA Racing Series champion.

With Ford as a sponsor, naturally, Chase Briscoe is a Ford guy reportedly driving a magnetic gray Ford F-150 Raptor off the track. He notes that the success Ford has on the racetrack goes directly in the development of its road cars. Briscoe also notes that the Ford Performance Racing School is an extension of Ford’s performance heritage.

SHR notes that Ford is the only full-line vehicle manufacturer to offer product-focused driving programs exclusively to the owners of its complete line of performance vehicles, including cars and trucks. The racing school was established in 2006 and operates out of two venues with a dedicated off-road complex in Tooele, Utah, for the Raptor Assault. A track operation at Charlotte Motor Speedway is where it educates drivers of Ford performance vehicles like the Shelby GT350, GT500, and other cars on the race track. The simple livery of the No. 98 NASCAR Mustang reminds of Shelby GT350 streetcar.
