Ford Ranger discount offers have been relatively conservative in months past, with most of the manufacturer incentives topping out at $1,000. This was the case in September and again in November. That’s no coincidence, given that Ford Ranger sales are quite hot, as the truck became the second best-selling model in its segment during Q4 2019.
However, Ford is running a relatively lucrative offer for select markets in February 2020. Some deals include a combined offer, comprised of both a cash back rebate and an interest-free offer. To note, before January 2020, we hadn’t seen such an offer since August 2019.

To clarify, all of the above Ford Ranger discount offers will expire after March 31st, 2020. Shoppers should also note that the discount applies to 2020 Ranger models in some markets, and 2019 Ranger models in others. Some incentives are also available for vehicles that have arrived at the dealer at least 61 days prior to the sale date, or require a trade-in vehicle. As such, we recommend visiting your preferred dealer for specific details.
For reference, here are the applicable 2019 and 2020 Ranger trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including the $1,195 destination charge (and $645 acquisition fee for 2020 models):
2019 Ranger:
- XL – $25,495
- XLT -$29,135
- Lariat – $33,495
2020 Ranger:
- XL – $26,250
- XLT – $30,300
- Lariat – $34,340
The $2,750 Ford Ranger discount reduces the starting price of a base 2019 Ranger XL to $22,745, while the XLT drops to $26,385, and the Lariat is cut to $30,745. On the other hand, the interest-free financing offer in the Los Angeles market extends the savings by thousands, though the amount depends on the final purchase price.

Comment
I am impressed by the Ranger.
Knowing it was coming on an older platform, I did not expect it to look and drive as nice as it does. The powertrain is much more than adequate, pricing is reasonable, and it doesn’t look any more dated than the competition.
For the next generation, I would like to see a trade off, with about two inches of bed being sacrificed for the equal addition to the cabin rear seat room.
