The 2020 NHRA season is here, and a new Mustang Funny Car will make its debut at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals driven by Paul Richards Racing driver Dave Richards. The event will be the debut race for the car, and it will wear a very patriotic livery that salutes veterans. Richards said that the Mahoney family and Prestige Site Works is an essential component behind the racing program.
The team chose the patriotic livery for the Mustang Funny Car because those sponsors are “devoted to giving back to veterans.” The team hopes the car with its patriotic livery will give veterans out there a car to root for at the track. Team sponsors that have renewed their support for the 2020 season include Strutmasters.com, FarmBoy Custom Co., and Florida Brake and Truck Parts. Paul Richards Racing will compete at ten events for the season.
Richards says that adding Chip Lofton and Strutmasters.com to their program last season gave the team the boost it needed to continue competing. The sponsors are with the team for ten races this season. FarmBoy Custom Co and Florida Brake and Truck Parts have supported the race team for years. Richards says that the team is excited to represent all their sponsors at the track.
For the 2020 NHRA season, Ford Performance renewed with Tasca Racing. The 2020 team up marked the continuance of a long relationship between the team and Ford Performance. Bob Tasca III had one of the most successful seasons of his career in 2019 and hopes to continue that trend into 2020. Tasca won two races with four final-round appearances.
