We are leaning towards this being a DIY build, but it’s well-executed and could have been produced by a low-volume manufacturer. The listing doesn’t say if it’s a custom job or factory-built.
Either way, this 2015 Ford Transit adventure camper van has just about everything you need to spend a weekend or a life on the road. The mechanicals are of a 2015 Ford Transit 350 HD van with dual rear wheels, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, high roof, and extended wheelbase. The van looks very clean and has slightly less than 60,000 miles on the odometer.
Other features include an aftermarket cruise control system, trailer hitch with brake controller, Kenwood multimedia stereo system, backup camera, and park distance sensors. The sellers say that they are non-smokers and no pets ever lived in the camper. Other features include a 2000-watt inverter/battery charger, 200 Ah lithium LiFeP04 battery bank, 360-watt roof-mounted solar panels, and a DC-DC battery charge controller unit.
The camper has a standup shower that will accommodate someone up to six feet two inches. It also features an Ottoman/porta potty combination unit, and hot water is available when the engine is running. In-floor heating for the galley and shower floor area and an independent interior air heater keeps it warm. LED lighting is located under the cabinets and on the ceiling, and the vehicle has a 4.7 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer combo that runs on electricity. The cooktop is an induction unit, and floor ceiling and walls are all insulated. The bed is on a platform that can be removed and holds a queen size mattress. This isn’t a cheap camper with a price of $74,999.95 on eBay.
