2020 Ford Expedition Gets New Burgundy Velvet Color: First Look

The full-size 2020 Ford Expedition adds five new exterior colors to its color palette: Iconic Silver, Desert Gold, Star White, Rapid Red, Burgundy Velvet. Here’s our first look at the new Burgundy Velvet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat color option.

Availability

Assigned order code R3, Burgundy Velvet is one of two metallic tinted clearcoat color options for the 2020 Expedition. It’s worth noting that the hue is one of the second-most expensive exterior color options for the new vehicle, and is one of six total metallic colors available.

The new Burgundy Velvet color is not included in the base price of the all-new 2020 Expedition, and costs an additional $395. It is available in conjunction with all four interior color combinations and all trim levels. However, it is not available on models equipped with the Livery Package, or with cloth Ebony seats (LH) or cloth Medium Stone seats (LL).

2020 Ford Expedition Launch Timeframe

As of this writing, the 2020 Expedition is available at the retail level, since the Ford Louisville factory in Kentucky has been producing the vehicle for the past several months. Models in the Burgundy Velvet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat exterior color are already on dealer lots, but availability varies by dealer – so be sure to check with your preferred dealer for complete details.
