Mil-Spec Automotive Ford F-150 Has 500 Horsepower Under Foot

A company called Mil-Spec that got its start modifying Hummer off-road vehicles has a new truck that looks very interesting. The Mil-Spec Automotive Ford F-150 is customized all around and has a sort of tactical style to it and could be a Raptor alternative for folks looking for something a little different. The Mil-Spec Automotive Ford F-150 has 500 horsepower via a 5.0-liter V-8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. The engine doesn’t use a supercharger and still has a full Ford warranty.

The truck starts at $85,000 and has several costly options that will add significantly to the price. One of those options is the Baja Appearance Package that adds $8600. Buyers can also get a Baja Suspension Package that is a $6000 option. The pickup features a wide-body kit that expands the fenders front and rear. It also comes with Baja front, and rear bumpers along with an MSA Design Works front fascia.

The Baja Appearance Package includes a Chase rack with tire carrier and two KC light pod systems. That tire carrier puts the spare tire in the bed of the pickup. The special Baja Suspension Package increases the track width over a standard F-150 by 13.5 inches. Wheel travel is up to 11-inches in the front and up to 12-inches in the rear. Other suspension opponents include long travel upper and lower control arms, extended long-travel front axle shafts and brake lines, Fox 3.0 F-150 long travel performance shock package, and gloss black powder-coated hardware. Buyers can also choose a fully adjustable Fox 3.0 coilover shock kit as well.

There are four color options including what appears to be black, silver, gray, and white. The interior appears to be mostly stock with black seats with gray trim, black seats, or beige seats. There are a couple of plaques inside signifying the special nature of the truck. Mil-Spec Automotive says that financing is a possibility through Somerville Ford.
