Futuristic Ford F-150 Raptor Interior Renderings Are Cool But Unrealistic

While new vehicles are undoubtedly packed with advanced technology, cool features and forward-thinking designs, they aren’t quite as futuristic as cartoons made decades ago told us they were going to be. But we can dream, right? That’s the idea behind this series of next-generation Ford F-150 Raptor interior renderings created by artist Pablo Doldán. But while these illustrations are undoubtedly nice to look at, this is most certainly not what the next Ford F-150 Raptor interior will look like.

We know this for a number of reasons. For starters, we’ve already gotten a pretty good look at the new 2021 Ford F-150 interior, and it looks nothing like these renderings.

n reality, the next-gen F-150 interior will be much more evolutionary than revolutionary, with obvious upgrades like a larger infotainment screen, and all-digital gauge cluster and other niceties like a stow-away shifter. What it won’t be is a Tesla-like cabin dominated by a huge vertically-oriented touchscreen, as these renderings show.

There’s also one more little problem with these Ford F-150 Raptor interior renderings. The artist labels them as belonging to the 2021 F-150 Raptor, but we doubt that the 2021 model year will bring an all-new Raptor. In fact, it looks like the F-150 Raptor will carry over into 2021 largely unchanged, and an all-new model based on the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 will follow for either the 2022 or 2023 model years.

So while these cool, futuristic Ford F-150 Raptor interior renderings are undoubtedly nice to look at, they just aren’t likely to come to fruition, at least for the new generation. And that’s a bit of a shame,, because they’re certainly pleasing to the eye. But we have to believe that Ford won’t be trying to alienate its loyal fan base by installing some crazy, revolutionary interior on its best-selling F-Series pickups. It just wouldn’t make sense on any level.

That said, we would not be surprised to see something as revolutionary as this on the upcoming F-150 EV. Given that model’s revolutionary powertrain, it might make sense to have a revolutionary cabin just as well.
