Last month, Ford Authority was the first to exclusively tell you that the upcoming Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport will be offered with three different grille options. Tentatively called Modern, Classic and Custom, the three grilles will also result in somewhat different front fascias (or “noses”). Today, we’re giving you our best look at the three grilles via a batch of fresh spy shots.
Though the three prototypes pictured here all seem to be relatively similar, a closer look reveals different grille treatments. Due to the camo, it’s a bit difficult to match up exactly which model is wearing which grille, but we’ll do our best regardless.
First up is the “Modern” grille that has the word “BRONCO” written out across it. We’ve already seen this treatment in previously-leaked photos, and it seems that the first model in the convoy of Bronco Sports is wearing that grille.
Next up is the Classic treatment that will feature styling reminiscent of the first-gen Bronco models, though with modern cues. The model that appears to be wearing this grille is the third in the pack.
Finally, the Custom grille – which will have shiny (possibly chrome) elements to it – appears. Incidentally, the obfuscation masters at Ford’s camouflage department seem to have spray-painted it in a dark color so as to lead us astray, though that clearly didn’t work.
It’s currently unclear whether the different 2021 Ford Bronco Sport grille options will be mated to a specific trim level, or whether they’ll be available in a free-flow manner.
Just yesterday, we reported that that Bronco Sport production may have already started at the Ford Hermosillo plant in Sonora, Mexico on May 15th, which means that we should see this puppy revealed very soon.
We’ll have more to share about the upcoming Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport shortly, so be sure to subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news, Bronco Sport news, as well as around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
