2020 Lincoln Aviator Lands On Wards 10 Best Interiors List

Anybody that’s ever set foot in a 2020 Lincoln Aviator knows that it’s a very nice place to be. The latest Lincoln Aviator interior combines a beautiful design, luxurious features, and supple materials in one heck of a nice package. So it should come as no surprise, really, that the 2020 Lincoln Aviator has also landed on Wards 10 Best Interiors List.

Wards editors were quick to praise the Aviator’s aesthetics as well as its comfort, fit-and-finish, material quality, and ergonomic attributes.

“Lincoln has been on quite the roll, having won four consecutive Wards 10 Best Interiors trophies, starting with the Lincoln Continental in 2017, the Lincoln Navigator in 2018 and the Lincoln Nautilus in 2019. This year’s honoree is the all-new Aviator 3-row luxury SUV, which draws us in with cashmere leather seats and a warm, cream color combination that is breathtaking,” said Tom Murphy, managing editor, WardsAuto.

“The Black Label accents are numerous, from the lovely metallic-tinged wood trim and 28-speaker Revel Ultima audio system to the soothing, minimalist gauge cluster and the Perfect Position 30-way power front seats that also deliver one fabulous massage,” he added.

Wards likens the Aviator’s interior to “first-class accommodations,” lauding its attention to detail and the fact that the cabin itself is a big selling point. One of the more impressive details is the SUV’s unique chimes, which were recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The distinctive chimes provide musical alerts for a whopping 25 different features.

The Aviator’s interior is so comfortable, in fact, that some owners apparently use it for more than just transportation. “In a poll, 45 percent of respondents said they sometimes withdraw to their parked vehicle and sit. The Aviator is perfect for that,” Wards noted.

In terms of design, Wards called the Aviator’s cabin “a delight, from a wide, horizontal design that enhances the vehicle’s airy feel, to the sweeping dashboard, to the intricately fabricated speaker grates with a swirling design, to the swoop of the generously proportioned center console, to the graceful steering-wheel center wrapped in leather and shaped like a horse collar, to the detailed piping along the crafted link-design perforated leather seats, to automatic push-button door openers.”

Add it all up, and we’ve got one of the very best interiors in the automotive industry. But for those that have already spent any time inside the 2020 Lincoln Aviator, it’s not really news at all.

  1. The interior of my 2019 Mustang is not near as plush or fancy as the Avaitor but it’s my favorite place to spend breaks and lunch time in everyday I work.
