A teaser image of the upcoming 2021 Ford F-150 pickup truck has just made its way to the Ford.com homepage.
The image shows an outline of the upcoming pickup’s front end, accentuated by its Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), which also serve as Daytime Running Lights.
We can also see an outline of a relatively bold front end, along with side mirrors, hood, and a partial outline of the front end.
The 2021 Ford F-150 teaser reads, “Tune in to see the all-new 2021 Ford F-150”, followed by the date – June 25th, 2020 at 8 pm EDT.
The 2021 Ford F-150 will represent the 14th generation of America’s best-selling pickup truck. Despite sightings of prototype models not showing a significant departure in terms of styling, Ford Authority has reported that the sheetmetal will actually be all-new.
The overhauled Ford truck will also feature a revamped interior, with an available digital gauge cluster, an all-new center stack and center console, plus the latest technologies, including the ability to receive over the air updates. Significantly improved materials will join forces with new creature comforts, including a stow-away console shifter and a passenger seat that can fold flat into a bed.
From a functional standpoint, expect most of the engines offered on the current model to carry over into the all-new, 2021 Ford F-150. Ford’s still-new 10-speed automatic transmission will likely do shifting duty on all models. A new hybrid-electric model will join the lineup at or close to launch, while an F-150 Electric model is expected to arrive roughly two years thereafter.
Additionally, some models are expected to offer an onboard generator, allowing owners to plug in household-type outlets, whether for work or for play. We expect the offroad-oriented F-150 Raptor to launch roughly one year after the primary models.
We will be on hand for the reveal next Thursday, so make sure to subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and continuous Ford news coverage.
