Off-road trucks and accessories are red hot these days, and everyone wants a piece of the proverbial pie. Turnkey trucks like the Ford F-150 Raptor are as hot as ever, and future models like the Ford Bronco Badlands and Bronco Raptor promise to keep that hot streak going. But those looking to upgrade the lighting on their Ford Ranger now have a nice, OEM-developed solution to choose from as well, thanks to Ford Performance’s new Rigid Ranger Off-Road Light kits.
Ford Performance currently offers two different Ranger Off-Road Light kits: a fog light package and a hood-hinge mounted light package. Both fit the 2019-2020 model year Ford Ranger. The fog light package, part number M-15200-RFOG, contains two Rigid D-Series Pro Spot LED lights and all the parts needed to replace the Ranger’s factory fog lights. It retails for $484.99.
The kit comes with everything owners need to mount the lights in a very clean, OEM-looking configuration, including stainless steel black powder coated trim plates, a Ford Performance branded lens cover, and RIGID’s D-Series lights and harness. The kit is plug-and-play and completely reversible with no cutting or splicing required, as Rigid’s harness plugs right into the factory fog light harness, so the factory switch is still operational.
For those looking for a little extra front end lighting for their ride, Ford Performance also sells a Rigid Ranger Off-Road light kit that mounts on the truck’s hood hinges. Part number M-15200-RHM retails for $454.99 and comes with two Rigid D-SS-Series LED lights, two black powder coated stainless steel brackets, a unique harness with a toggle switch, and Ford Performance branded lens covers. The hood hinge light kit mounts to the Ranger’s hood hinges and also requires no cutting or splicing to install.
For those looking to add some serious lumens to the front of their Ranger, these new offerings from Ford Performance and Rigid provide a nice and easy way to do it. Especially for those who don’t really want to cut into their shiny new truck’s electrical wiring.
