One of the more defining characteristics of all-electric vehicles available currently are their unique and oftentimes downright polarizing styling. The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is certainly no exception, as the vehicle features interesting lines that combine the look of a futuristic SUV with styling elements taken from the current Ford Mustang. And now, buyers of the high performance Mach-E GT model have a new, bold color option befitting those lines, too.
The new hue is called Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, and Ford calls it “a bold, eye-catching premium exterior color designed by the company’s color and materials experts for those who want to turn heads twice.”
“Mustang has always turned heads and Mustang Mach-E will be no exception.” said Dave Pericak, director, Ford Icons. “We can’t wait for Cyber Orange to hit the streets on Mustang Mach-E GT next year to fuel the passion of our orange Mustang fans.”
“Cyber Orange says ‘look at me,'” added Janet Seymour, Mustang and Mustang Mach-E color & materials design manager. “There’s a certain passion in Mustang customers who really want to show off their Mustang – especially those that look to make a bold statement.”
In addition to Cyber Orange, Ford has also added Dark Matter Gray to a color palette that already includes Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Iconic Silver, and Space White.
The Mustang Mach-E GT is currently set to go on sale in the Spring of 2021. The first non-GT Mach-E models are scheduled to arrive in the U.S. later this year, while European customers will receive their deliveries in early 2021. The Mach-E will be built at the Ford Cuautitlan Plant in Mexico.
We’ll have more on the new Mach-E soon, so be sure to subscribe to Ford Authority for more Mustang Mach-E news and continuous Ford news coverage.

I wish they would add more colors, especially to non-GT models. The grayish blue should be replaced by velocity blue, add dark Persian green, and allow both on entry and premium trims.
