Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2021 Ford F-650 and F-750 Medium Duty trucks with the 7.3L Godzilla engine. Affected vehicles are missing key thermal protection components.
The defect: in affected vehicles, certain thermal protection components that are intended to reduce the cabin floor and seat attachment temperatures are missing. Components may include an underbody heat shield, a thermal insulator patch under the floor mat, or covers for the seat bolts and seat pedestal.
The hazards: on vehicles built without the thermal protection components, the interior cabin floor and seat attachments could reach elevated temperatures during high-load, high ambient temperature driving conditions. Continuous skin contact with the elevated temperatures could lead to skin irritation or minors burns.
FoMoCo is not aware of any reports of accidents or injury related to this condition.

Comments
Holy Crap. I guess FORD just can’t get their collective heads out of their butts.
Then they wonder why they lose out to competition.
And comments from the union, the one representing the people who were responsible for installing this missing insulation? And the comments from the Inspection Team AND the plant management? I can wait!!
Having a hard time believing people are still buying Recall Motors’ products.
