The Ford Authority Take

In June, Ford Argentina sales suffered the smallest decline in sales volume since the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. Despite representing a notable decline year-over-year, the 3,311 vehicles sold by Ford last month are a significant improvement compared to the 406 sales in April (down 90 percent year-over-year) and 1,987 units delivered in May (down 47 percent year-over-year).

The lower rate of contraction is due to fact that Ford models offered in the South American country registered healthy increases in their sales volumes, including Kuga, Mondeo, Ranger and Transit. In particular, the results highlight excellent performance of FoMoCo’s pickups in June, with Ranger and F-150 registering their highest sales figures in the Argentine market in the recent past.

In addition, it is worth noting that Ranger was Ford’s best-selling model in Argentina for the second consecutive month in June. The spot is typically occupied by the subcompact Ka – Ford’s least expensive model.
