Ford Motor Company Canada Sales Decrease 45 Percent In Second Quarter 2020

Ford Motor Company Canada sales decreased 45 percent to 50,546 units during the second quarter of 2020, amid the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19. Sales decreased at both Ford and Lincoln .

“Canadians are showing us that they love our new products, and we can’t wait to deliver even more choice in the coming months,” said Dean Stoneley, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. “We recently revealed an all-new version of Canada’s top-selling vehicle, the Ford F-150, and our truck customers could not be more excited. Order banks just opened for the all-new, all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, and we’ll debut the highly anticipated all-new Ford Bronco SUVs this month as well,” he added.

Ford sales decreased 45.1 percent to 49,137 units:

Lincoln sales decreased 39.3 percent to 1,409 units:

During the first six months of the 2020 calendar year, Ford Motor Company Canada sales decreased 32.3 percent to 104,316 units.

While Ford Motor Company Canada sales were down for the second quarter of 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19, there were signs of optimism. The all-new Ford Explorer and Ford Ranger saw year-over-year sales increases despite the pandemic-related challenges.

Ford revealed the all-new, 2021 F-150 on June 25th, marking the automaker’s first all-digital vehicle reveal. The all-new light-duty, full-size pickup delivers various improvements over the outgoing model, and will launch toward the end of the 2020 calendar year.
