The Ford Authority Take

Ford Russia sales fell drastically in May 2020, a circumstance that has repeated itself during each of the first five months of 2020. The performance of The Blue Oval brand in the Russian market is not only being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but also by the significant reduction in the automaker’s product portfolio compared to 2019.

After the closure of two local factories in mid-2019, the only Ford model currently assembled in Russia is the Transit. Despite a year-over-year drop in sales volume, the 731 units represent the second-best figure the vehicle has recorded during the first five months of the year.
