Last fall, a new Monochromatic Package made its debut on the Lincoln Navigator. The dark-themed package proved to be rather popular with buyers, which prompted the automaker to also make it available on the Lincoln Nautilus earlier this year. Now, it’s expanding the availability of the Monochromatic Package to the Lincoln Corsair, too.
The package is available for the Corsair in three colors: Pristine White, Infinite Black, and Asher Gray. It consists of Lincoln’s signature front grille and name badge, which are finished in the monochromatic hue, along with unique 20 inch and 22 inch black wheel designs. Additional touches include body-colored side mirrors, lower cladding, and wheel lip moldings.
“The monochromatic palette is clean, uncluttered and emphasizes the beautiful lines of our Lincoln SUVs,” said Earl Lucas, Lincoln chief exterior designer. “From the Corsair, Nautilus, Aviator to Navigator, this option not only enables us to keep our lineup fresh, but also gives our clients a unique option to personalize their Lincoln SUV.”
Monochromatic color schemes are gaining popularity not just in the world of automobiles, but also in the world of fashion and home decor. Lincoln clearly wants to capitalize on that trend, which should only help the brand’s strong SUV sales of late.
Lincoln’s SUV retail share continued to make big gains for the brand with an estimated 1.5 percent retail share lift to more than 7 percent share of the premium SUV segment in Q2 of 2020. The Corsair alone grew to more than 8.5 percent of the small premium SUV segment in Q2.
Lincoln didn’t specify how much the Monochromatic Package would cost for the Corsair, but it currently charges an extra $1,895 to add it to the Nautilus. Regardless, it’s a nice way for Lincoln SUV buyers to customize their vehicle in a new and trendy way.
