Reportedly, well over a hundred thousand people have secured a reservation for a 2021 Ford Bronco, just a few weeks since the SUV was unveiled, causing all sorts of technical difficulties in the process. The reborn Bronco has generated an incredible amount of hype over those weeks, so we can’t blame eager reservation holders for wanting to hop on the Bronco configurator and spec out their shiny new rides. And now, we know approximately when they will be able to do that.
Ford North America Product Communications manager Mike Levine caused a bit of a stir over the weekend when he seemingly confirmed that the Bronco configurator, or build and price tool as it’s otherwise known, wouldn’t launch until December. This shocking bit of news came after early rumors suggested that it would go live in August.
Bronco build and configure in DECEMBER!? Are you kidding me!? We literally need it yesterday.

However, a few hours later, Levine clarified his original response with a some good news. “Bronco build and price will be live by September at the latest,” his follow-up tweet said. “Ordering takes place in December. My bad if that came off as confusing. Get ready to build your Broncos!”

Launching the Bronco configurator in December would have certainly created a difficult situation for reservation holders, who would prefer to have a little time to spec out their new rides before converting that registration into an order. Thankfully, Levine was able to clear this up quickly, though his initial response caused quite a frenzy in the comments section for a few hours.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on the Bronco configurator and will report back when it goes live, so be sure to subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and 24/7 Ford news coverage.

And when for the F-150?
I want to know if I can still preorder a 4 door Bronco? I have waited so long to own a Bronco. I used to enjoy riding with HS classmates in the late ’60. Now that I can afford one the chance of owning one since to have slipped past me.
Yes you can. Just not the first edition, which is sold out.
