2021 Ford Bronco Sport Trail Rig Concept Elevates The Trek

The all-new, 2021 Ford Bronco Sport expands the reborn Bronco family by delivering a small crossover with plenty of off-road utility and capability. To demonstrate the off-road potential of the new Bronco Sport, The Blue Oval has introduced the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Trail Rig Concept.

Announced for the Bronco’s 55th birthday, Ford says that the Bronco Sport Trail Rig Concept is for adventurers looking to elevate their off-road trekking abilities. It is based on the range-topping Badlands model, and adds several unique parts and accessories to create a very unique package.

The front end featured a front nudge bar with a set of Ford Performance RIGID LED off-road lights.

The top end of the Bronco Sport Trail Rig Concept features a Yakima LockNLoad Platform roof rack, along with off-road gear mounts designed to carry gear like a high-lift jack kit, Ford Performance recovery boards and jerry cans.

But the proverbial piece de resistance is a one-inch lift kit along with 31-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires, which give the Bronco Sport Trail Rig Concept a more imposing stance, both from a height and width perspectives.

The all-new, 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is based on the Ford C2 platform shared with the fourth-gen Ford Escape, first-gen Lincoln Corsair, and the 2019 and newer Ford Focus. The vehicle will go into production at the end of October at the Ford Hermosillo plant in Mexico. Meanwhile, the parts seen here are likely to be available as accessories around the time that the vehicle begins arriving at dealerships.

The Bronco Sport Trail Rig concept is joined by the Bronco Sport Tow RZR Concept, which aims to demonstrate the small utility’s towing capabilities and cargo accessories.
