There’s no denying that fact that the 2021 Ford Bronco is the hottest new vehicle on the planet right now, even though deliveries of the reborn SUV won’t begin until next June. Regardless, 165,000 people put down $100 to reserve their copy of the new Bronco in the first three weeks it was available. But for those that would prefer to bring one home for free, Mountain Dew is hosting a new contest dubbed “Claim the Outdoors,” and the grand prize is in fact a 2021 Bronco Big Bend.
To enter the contest, participants must simply scan the QR code located in their beverage at retail, or enter at DewClaimTheOutdoors.com. One lucky winner will walk away with the grand prize – a 2021 Ford Bronco Big Bend, courtesy of Preston Automotive Group, plus a year’s worth of Mountain Dew presented by the country duo LOCASH.
If that wasn’t enough, the first place winner gets a 4 Day, 3 night guided Grand Canyon hike for two. The second place prize is a set of tickets to a race featuring driver Chase Elliott, the third prize winner snags a one-one-one fishing experience with Bassmaster Gerald Swindle, and there are additional prizes including mountain bikes, fishing rods, and other outdoor gear.
The idea behind the contest, as one might have guessed by now, is to encourage people to get outside after a summer of being indoors. Mountain Dew recently surveyed its customers, and found that most of them spend their time enjoying motorsports, hiking, fishing, and biking. So the Claim the Outdoors contest gives them a safe way to enjoy those activities.
“DEW fans are known for their energy and passion for the outdoors, which is why we wanted to bring this program to life,” said Chauncey Hamlett, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for PepsiCo Beverages North America (South Division). “By creating incredible prizing based on our consumer habits, we’re getting right to their passion points to celebrate a fun, exciting and safe way to return to the outdoor experiences we value most.”
We’ll have more contests to share very soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
