Movie cars have always held a special place in the hearts of many, mainly because they’re, well, movie stars. Just like those people with the famous names and faces we see on the big screen. And among the many Ford Mustang movie cars that have graced the big screen in recent years, the Red Mist Mustang from 2010’s Kick-Ass remains one of the coolest. Now, one lucky person is going to get the opportunity to buy it.
Yes, one of three Red Mist Mustang movie cars produced is currently up for grabs over at eBay. Named for the character played by actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse, the 2008 model year Mustang was designed by Rich Evans at a reported cost well in the six-figure range.
As is typically the case with movie cars, this one’s pretty wild on the outside. There, it wears a one of 100 custom body kit from Rich Evans Design, Lambo-style scissor doors, red LED lighting, 20 inch Boss wheels, Torch Red paint, and matte black accents, along with removable black covers for the headlights and taillights.
Unlike many movies cars, the Red Mist Mustang actually has quite a few modifications under the hood as well. That includes a Vortech supercharger for the car’s Ford 4.6L modular V8, which boosts output to a reported 650 horsepower. And in case that isn’t enough, the car also has a 75 horsepower shot of nitrous on tap.
On the inside, there’s even more red lighting along with three camera monitors, a Kenwood touchscreen, custom gauges, and Red Mist embroidery in the seats. The car itself made an appearance at the 2010 SEMA show, and has just under 11,000 miles on the clock, so it’s essentially brand new.
For fans of the super hero flick, this is a pretty cool opportunity to own a rather famous ride, likely at a cost far less than what it took to build in the first place.
We’ll have more cool rides that’re up for sale soon, so be sure to subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
