2021 Ford Ranger STX Special Edition Package Available With FX2 And FX4

Following Ford Authority‘s exclusive report last week regarding the forthcoming 2021 Ford Ranger STX Special Edition Package, The Blue Oval officially announced the new package yesterday. However, Ford also revealed that the Ranger STX Special Edition Package can also be paired with both the FX2 and FX4 packages, too.

The STX Special Edition Package is available for the 2021 Ranger in high XL trim level 4×2 or 4×4 in SuperCab or SuperCrew configuration, and can be bundled with other available packages like the FX2 or FX4 Off-Road Package.

For a package price of $995, buyers receive a combination of style and technology features, including unique 18 inch black-painted wheels with machined-finished edges, an 8 inch center touch screen, SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, AppLink, dual-zone climate control, silver-painted interior accents, and privacy glass with rear defrost.

The Ranger FX2 Off-Road Package carries an MSRP of $595 and adds standard 17 or available 18 inch off-road tires, a front underbody guard and air dam-delete, an electronic-locking rear differential, off-road-tuned suspension, and Ford’s off-road cluster screen to two-wheel-drive models.

Those who desire a four-wheel-drive pickup can opt for the FX4 Off-Road Package, which costs $1,295 and provides off-road-tuned shocks, all-terrain tires, a frame-mounted heavy-gauge steel front bash plate, frame-mounted skid plates, FX4 badging, Ford’s Terrain Management System and Trail Control technology, and a standard electronic-locking rear axle.

The 2021 Ford Ranger STX Special Edition Package joins the already-announced Ford Performance Parts Packages and Ranger Tremor Off-Road Package, which offer buyers a variety of ways to obtain some extra style and features in their new mid-size pickups. Ford says that 75 percent of Ford Ranger customers add appearance packages to their new trucks, and now those customers will have more to choose from than ever before.
