2021 Ford Ranger Tremor Suspension Lift Details Revealed

Just two weeks ago, Ford revealed the new-for-2021 Ranger Tremor package. At that time, the automaker also provided details as to what the off-road-focused package consisted of, but there was one glaring omission. While it said the Ranger Tremor came equipped with a suspension lift, it didn’t say how much of a lift the pickup received, nor how that lift was accomplished. However, Ford Authority has learned the answers to both of those questions.

“Compared to base Ranger, Tremor is raised 20mm (approximately 0.8 inches) at the front and rear. That lift is accomplished through the redesigned springs,” Andrew Surma, Ford Motor Company Truck Communications Coordinator, told Ford Authority in a statement. Those redesigned springs are just one of many components that help make the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor the most off-road-capable factory-built Ranger ever offered in the U.S.

The Ranger Tremor package also includes redesigned front knuckles and 32 inch Continental General Grabber A/TX all-terrain tires mounted on new 17 inch Magnetic-painted wheels, as well as Fox 2.0 monotube dampers with remote rear reservoirs and hydraulic rebound stops. Rounding out the suspension mods are a multi-leaf rear spring setup and anti-roll bars with reduced stiffness.

Ranger Tremor includes a frame-mounted steel front bash plate and underbody skid plates, a rear locking differential, Terrain Management System with four drive modes, and Trail Control. On the outside, updates include new hoop steps, bed side graphics, and a front grille with a Magnetic-painted surround, black bars, and red nostril accents. A new Tremor Body-Side and Hood Graphic package is also available as an option.

Inside, the Tremor features a six-switch auxiliary power bank, black accents, Miko suede seat inserts and “Tremor” stitched into the seatbacks.

The 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor off-road package will be available on mid-range XLT and range-topping Lariat 2021 Ranger trucks in SuperCrew 4×4 configuration. Package pricing is $4,290 MSRP. Like all 2021 Rangers for North America, models equipped with the Tremor package will be built at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan, with production slated to begin in early 2021.
