Here’s some news that might impact those in the market for a new heavy-duty Ford truck: the Lariat Sport Appearance Package will not be available on the 2021 Ford Super Duty, Ford Authority has learned.
The styling package first debuted in 2019, and brought the styling enhancements of the Sport package to the upgraded equipment and features of the Lariat trim, giving the Ford Super Duty a menacing look with black accents throughout the exterior. The package includes 20-inch wheels, LED headlights, fender vent, mirror caps and front grille all treated with Ebony Black accents. It was also the Lariat Sport Appearance package for the revised 2020 Super Duty that introduced the black Ford Oval emblem – a first for the American market.
When coupling all these exterior details with the body-color front and rear bumpers that are also part of the package, the Super Duty looks downright sexy. Inside, the Lariat Sport Appearance Package featured bucket seats with the Flow-Through console and floor shifter, as well as unique dark interior finishes.
Thankfully, buyers looking to make similar upgrades to their Super Duty trucks will not be left without options, as we’ve learned that Ford is working on a replacement package. It will come in the form of the new Super Duty Lariat Black Appearance Package.
The current Ford Super Duty lineup has the looks to complement its high capability in towing and hauling, but the subtle changes of the Lariat Sport Appearance package surely took things to the next level for those who appreciate the monochromatic treatment. Hopefully, the replacement package for the 2021 Ford Super Duty will give fans of the blacked-out theme an option.
