The Ford Authority Take

The numbers continue to speak for themselves: the Ford Transit Connect continued to dominate its segment during the second quarter of 2020, despite seeing a 38 percent sales drop as a result of the coronavirus breakout.

Luckily, Transit Connect production at the Ford Valencia plant in Spain restarted in May, so Q3 2020 should see a healthy uptick in sales volume as FoMoCo satisfies pent-up orders and demand.

For the 2021 model year, Ford will discontinue the Transit Connect Taxi package, while also making a few minor changes to the compact van.

My work van is a 2015 TRANSIT CONNECT. No major complaints or problems other than normal wear items. The 2.5L 4 has great starting torque and fairly smooth for a 4 cylinder.
